Cha Cha Moon is a private riverside estate twenty minutes from downtown Chiang Mai. Two fully independent houses, Lakeside Villa and The Garden House, share a walled compound set within 12,000 sqm of mature, shaded gardens along 350 metres of river frontage, with an infinity pool at the centre. Built by the owner to house family and entertain friends, the estate has ten bedrooms across the two houses, sleeping 20 as standard with sofabeds and extra beds available for larger groups. It can be taken as one private complex or as two self contained homes.

The houses are colonial in style, with exotic hardwood floors and three metre doors throughout. The setting is rural and quiet, yet Chiang Mai’s restaurants, markets and countryside are close enough that you will run out of days before you run out of things to do.

Two resident staff clean, maintain the grounds and look after guests throughout your stay. Poolside barbecues and in house massage treatments can be arranged, as can a private chef or driver, all at additional cost. Rates below are for private stays; weddings and events are quoted separately.

Cha Cha Moon is booked exclusively, one group at a time. The Garden House is available only as an addition to a Lakeside Villa booking, and cannot be reserved on its own.

Cha Cha Moon is a private compound of two independent homes, Lakeside Villa and The Garden House, looked after by two resident staff throughout your stay.

The Lakeside Villa looks across rice fields to Doi Suthep, Chiang Mai’s sacred mountain. Over 1,000 sqm of covered space holds six bedrooms, seven bathrooms, a 150 sqm great room, three kitchens, two bars, five dining areas, a cinema, a fitness studio and multiple covered outdoor areas, set around an 18 by 10 metre mineral water pool. Sleeps 12 as standard, with sofabeds and extra beds available for larger groups.

The Garden House overlooks the lake and gardens. A modern four bedroom, three bathroom bungalow with a full kitchen and dining areas, sleeping 8 as standard.

Together the two houses offer ten bedrooms and sleep 20 as standard, with additional capacity by arrangement.

The compound sits within 12,000 sqm of gardens and grounds, centred on a private lake with its own pier and two traditional Thai boats for guests to paddle. At the centre of the lake, the Lake Pavilion holds a table and benches, ideal for breakfast or coffee, while a second, lakeside gazebo offers a quiet spot for yoga or relaxing at the water’s edge. A further 1,200 sqm of paved patio holds the pool and the 150 sqm Poolside Gazebo, alongside open areas for sunbathing and group activities.
